Sho Fu Member Meeting for August will be held on the 8th @ Selby Gardens in the Great Room starting at 6:30pm
Our next meeting is Aug. 8 at Selby Gardens at 6:30p. Feel free to arrive by 6 for extra social time and setup. This month is our Selby Showcase! There will be periodic tours of our permanent exhibit given by our esteemed curator Richard Dietrich while Mike Lane gives a demonstration in the meeting room on branch selection using one of our trees. It should make for a fun and educational evening.
Our raffle returns this month and please remember it’s a vital source of our income. If you have something you’d like to donate or buy tickets, please see Fatima, our raffle director.
Also, don’t forget our newly instituted member-sales option. If you’d like to sell something at our meetings, alert us ahead of time, preferably at shofubonsai@gmail.com, as it’s first-come, first-served and we will need to set up a table for you. We request you only bring a couple of items. You are responsible for making change and for paying the club 20 percent before you leave (see Kathrin). We already have one member who will be selling items at this meeting so interested parties should bring cash.
